Overall Observations
Teachers need regular motivation and monitoring. Regular training should be imparted to them. In most of schools question papers were not xeroxed. It was written on the blackboard. Seating arrangements were ok. No cheating case was detected.
Remarks if any
For primary classes there should be space for answers in the question paper itself.

MONITORING REPORT FOR APRIL 2015
Keeping in view poor showing in the monthly tests held in March 2015, a monitoring and motivational campaign was organised by DIET in schools of all six blocks of the district from 21 April to 16 May 2015. The campaign was started by holding a meeting with DEO Karnal, DEEO Karnal and all BEO’s and BEEO’s of all six blocks in Karnal. Six senior lecturers and five lecturers from DIET were assigned the task. The basic objective was to visit the schools with low percentage of result, find out the main reasons and give suggestions and possible solutions to the causes of poor results and problems being faced. Meeting at block level were also organised. In these meeting all heads of the concerned block were invited and given brief and objective of the programme. The monitoring was done as under:

Hard Spots Observed
- Poor attendance of the students
- Poor response on the part of parents
- Insensitivity on the part of some teachers
- Lack of teaching faculty
Remedial Measures
- Generate sensitivity among teachers and parents
- Common faults in teaching methodology observed and given possible solutions and training inputs.
- Door to door motivational campaign by the teachers to increase attendance of students
- Bringing a possible change in teaching methodology using TLM and ABL.
On the basis of above factors and remedial measures, a test in different subjects was conducted. Question paper was framed from the prescribed syllabus taught by the teachers. The results exhibited a positive change. Not only the pass percentage of the students increased but the score also increased. The monitoring and motivation proved helpful.
